Reason to Hope is a powerful one-hour luncheon designed to educate the community about the Alzheimer's Association while raising funds to support Alzheimer's research, programs and services.
No, the event is free. However, all guests will be asked at the conclusion of the luncheon to support the Alzheimer's Association by making a contribution.
Guests to Reason to Hope are invited by volunteer table hosts. If you are interested in attending, please consider becoming a table host and introduce your network to the mission of the Alzheimer's Association.
As a Table Host, you are not asked to buy or sell a table, but instead are responsible for recruiting 10 guests to sit at your table and enjoy a free luncheon and moving program. Communicate expectations to your guests by letting them know this is a fundraising event, and that you hope they will support the mission. Model the giving you wish to see in your guests by making a personal, meaningful gift of your own, hopefully above and beyond what you have given in the past.
There will be a Table Host training event in February. At that time, all hosts will receive a table host packet, event invitations and have the opportunity to hear tips from previous hosts.
On the day of the event, you are a true host. You will start by checking in at the Table Host registration desk approximately 30-minutes before the event to pick up your table packet. All tables will be clearly identified for guest assignments. Once you are seated, enjoy the program, talk about the Alzheimer's Association and have a good time with your guests. Toward the end of the program, you will be asked to distribute pledge cards to your guests. Table Host packets will be collected as you exit.
